1. BASIC DIGITAL LITERACY SKILLS FOR COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Focused on gaining the basic digital skills to participate in the community. It offers people with little digital skills the opportunity to start in the training course without prior knowledge.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

– Being able to search, analyze and use digital data and information. 

– Managing own digital presence and reputation.

– Creating, adapting, or sharing digital information.

– Understanding of how digital technologies offer potential for quality interactions and active participation.

– Being aware of what digital wellness is and how to proactively care for it.

2. ONLINE SOCIALIZATION AND COMMUNICATION

Focused on helping learners gain the digital skills necessary to have fulfilling social interactions online. It offers the opportunity to put a stop to the isolation experienced by adults with disabilities from their community, family and friends by using social media safely.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Using social media profiles to share personal opinions, interests and life updates and find fulfilling social networking communities of support.

Creating healthy social media use habits by recognizing misuse and seeking support when necessary.

Being able to communicate with friends and family through instant messaging, voice calling and video calling.

Recognizing and avoiding cyberbullying, hate speech, scammers, and attempts of identity theft.

Being aware of and learning how to avoid filter bubbles, echo chambers, and disinformation on social media.

3. DIGITAL LEISURE AND E-LEARNING

Focused on learning about online opportunities for a fulfilling leisure time. It offers the opportunity to find out about leisure activities (e.g. entertainment) and e-learning possibilities. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Finding online entertainment opportunities for a fulfilling leisure time. 

Be able to participate in e-learning opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills. 

Selecting online leisure time activities and participate in those. 

Share and disseminate online opportunities within the community. 

Search for e-learning opportunities. 

4. ONLINE OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERING

Focused on promoting proactive search for volunteering opportunities, as well as empowering people by recognizing their strengths. It offers self-reflection, information about online and offline volunteering opportunities, inspiration.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Raising motivation for volunteering through self-reflection questions.

Developing proactive approach in searching for volunteering opportunities.

Understanding the benefits of becoming a volunteer through video testimonial of a volunteer.

Learn how and where to find online and offline volunteering opportunities.

Empowering individuals by recognizing their strengths.

5. ONLINE ADVOCACY/ACTIVISM

Focused on mobilising support and ensuring that the diverse voices of communities are heard. In this area we will discuss the principles of remote advocacy and ways to engage in online activism. It offers the opportunity to learn ways, channels, resources and tools to effectively join digital activism.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Understand what online activism is as a new form of collective mobilisation and its levels of participation.

To learn about success stories as models to be implemented.

 

Learn about the different methods of online activism, and the main types that exist. 

Knowing the risks and opportunities of activism in social networks.

Obtain practical resources from the online community, such as courses and related links.
